We made our reservation through OpenTable. We did their $140 tasting menu which was 6 courses. I’m pregnant so they specialized the menu to make sure it would be within my dietary restrictions. The plating is really pretty, but I only gave a 4 because there weren’t any super standout dishes. Their main entree was great though (I got the short rib). We liked that one over the pork collar. A lot of reviews say the food quantity is not a lot, and I agree. The portions are quite small. PARKING - there’s a parking structure in this apartment complex building. Make sure to go through the Visitors Entrance. You get $2 discount through the restaurant. They use Metropolis for the parking lot and it came out to be $13.99 for 2.5 hrs. - street parking is quite limited for a Friday night dinner. Overall, it’s a very soothing, relaxing, pleasant dinner experience. Waiters were very gentle in presenting the courses.

Can't recommend more. Incredible dining experience. All the courses contained the essence of symbolic Korean flavors. All the items felt healthy and very true to the seasonal ingredients that truly nourish our bodies. The menu and how it was prepared truly delivered the message that food is medicine (also crazily delicious). Would love to revisit another season.

Baroo was one of the more memorable fine-dining meals I’ve had in LA recently. The cooking feels thoughtful, delicate, and very personal, with Korean flavors presented in a way that still feels ingredient-driven rather than overly conceptual. The strongest dishes for me were the seafood soup, the Brandt beef short rib, and especially the rice/noodle elements with roasted seaweed — those had real depth, comfort, and texture. The $140 tasting menu also felt reasonable for the level of cooking and care. My only critique is that the menu progression could be tighter. Some of the earlier appetizer-style courses felt a bit scattered and less compelling than the stronger main courses, and the portions lean slightly light. But overall, the meal stayed with me, and I’d still comfortably give it five stars.

One of the best meals of my life. Came here for my wife's birthday and they even customized the menu card to say happy birthday to her. Staff was super kind and knowledgeable - thanks Trang for taking care of us! And the food was so delicious - both the vegan and non vegan menus. Every dish was thoughtfully crafted and had unique, subtle flavors. We also had the non alcoholic drink pairing and really enjoyed it.
